Do You Want To Run The Chicago 13.1 Marathon?

13.1 ChicagoThe 13.1 Marathon Chicago is just over a week away and I am sure there are many people that are getting both excited and nervous.  The course runs almost completely along the banks of Lake Michigan using the Lake Front Path.  If you have plans to run the Chicago Half Marathon in September don’t forget if you run both races you need to sign up for the Windy City 26.2 Challenge for some awesome rewards!

The race, presented by US Road Sports, is less than two weeks away on Saturday June 4th. The registration deadlines are quickly approaching with June 1st May 29th being the last day you can register online and also the last opportunity to get registered before race day registration goes up to $100.  If you have not yet registered you will want to make sure you head over to the 13.1 Chicago Registration as soon as possible and secure your spot.

131marathonlogoI have not yet run The Chicago version of the 13.1 Marathon Series, but I am getting very jealous as I look at the course.  I have run the 13.1 Marathon Atlanta both times it has been held and really enjoyed the race.  Both the Inaugural running in 2009 and the second running in 2010 were fun races, on a great course through neighborhoods around Oglethorpe University.  This race is a must do for me each year, and I am looking forward to this years running.

If you have not yet registered and are wanting to run the 13.1 Marathon Chicago, or if you are already registered and have someone that you would like to run with I have a great deal for you.  The kind people over at US Road Sports has provided a FREE race entry to one lucky winner.  To be that lucky winner just follow the instructions below and get as many entries in as possible in the limited time available.

OR

Do you have a 13.1 race you are currently training for or hoping to run?

Additional Entries:

Sorry for any inconvenience, but if you had already stopped by previously you will notice the giveaway ending date was moved up by three days.  There was a change to the online registration for the race and it will be closing three days earlier than originally stated.  To make sure the winner still has enough time to register the giveaway ending date needed to be moved as well.

  14. I wanted to be a runner, so I registered for NYC 13.1 and started training in February. I love the run so much it's not an addiction so that I plan on running a half marathon in every state. I signed up for a few more half marathons, so by the end of summer I would have 8 half marathons and a few shorter races completed. I can't wait for the chicago 13.1 next week!!!

To keep track of my experiences I started a blog about my running and the people I meet doing it. My love and admiration goes out to all fellow runners.

  20. I need to let everyone know, as stated in the edited post, the giveaway will end tonight instead of when originally stated.  Some changes to the registration for the race meant the giveaway needed to be moved up to make sure the winner would have time to register for the race.  Sorry for any inconvenience, but share share share for the best chance to win!!
