LOL! I've never seen that video. Yeah; it does kinda feel like that for 2 days max. Actually since I started using Accel Gel on marathons I don't get nearly as sore. Don't try it now, but try it for your 2nd marathon ;)

GOOD LUCK!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!! When your brain starts to sabotage you on mile 21 (and it will no matter what you tell yourself at the beginning), tell yourself that if Oprah can do it, so can you. You'll be amazed at the extra adrenaline you'll have on race day. 4:00 am won't bother you at all.

Here are my favorite motivational quotes: "When the guy says go, you start to suffer -- or you may as well not be out there. It's a small piece of your life, make it hurt." (Aaron Cox).

"When in doubt, when in fear, be aggressive. Commit yourself and never look back." (unknown). I used that one a lot as a mantra for my last marathon.

"Running is the classical road to self-consciousness,...Independence is the outstanding characteristic of a runner. He learns the harsh reality of his physical and spiritual limitations when he runs. He learns that personal commitment, sacrifice and determination are his only means to betterment. Runners get promoted only through self-conquest." (Noel Coward)
