Terrible experience, but at least I got my run in. I do have one in the basement, so it's not nearly as bad as having to do it at a gym. I do okay up to about 8 or 9 miles, but after that it is torture. I made the best of it by watching a long movie and then some music.

It looks like I will be doing my 10-miler on the dreadmill today since my usual route on the road is still pretty perilous.Chris Hnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7001874779832700509.post-49900855534215369362011-01-16T15:56:29.354-05:002011-01-16T15:56:29.354-05:00Chris, you are a good man! We do what we gotta do!

Now, if I had one in my basement, and had a TV in front of it, it might get tempting on the really cold mornings, but if I can go outside and not fall from the ice, I will always pick the roads.... always!

Now I understand how some of you, ok, most of you, need to every once in a while. For us here, we almost never have a reason when we must do it, except for this week :(

Thank you everyone for stopping by, keep those comments a coming! :)Tim Wilsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09172993341866649612noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7001874779832700509.post-69376958294630657822011-01-14T10:04:30.253-05:002011-01-14T10:04:30.253-05:00I hate the dreadmill, put its the only option righ...I hate the dreadmill, put its the only option right now for meBig Daddy Dieselhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07868041775049514011noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7001874779832700509.post-12117225370981089332011-01-14T09:48:34.230-05:002011-01-14T09:48:34.230-05:00Hate the treadmill, with a passion! Snow, freezing rain, wind, etc. I hit the dreadmill in my building's gym at least once a week when the weather is to fowl to run outside. Playing with the elevation will get you a pretty good workout, and cut the boredom of it. The longest I have done is a long run of 7 miles. Thank goodness for good music!Luciehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08500704529160446027noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7001874779832700509.post-65241328378123422112011-01-14T08:03:26.314-05:002011-01-14T08:03:26.314-05:00I just became an owner of one. I plan on becoming a TM runner as I return from surgery. The road conditions are horrible here every winter and I really dont want to damage what the doctor fixed.

After that - planning on using it only when the weather is too risky to run in.C2Iowahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01711134194954222576noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7001874779832700509.post-47751236841013681112011-01-14T05:25:50.278-05:002011-01-14T05:25:50.278-05:00Living in New England I sometimes run on the t-mil...Living in New England I sometimes run on the t-mill at the gym. I travel for work and run on hotel t-mills when I don't know the area, or if it's just too darn cold (like in the teens)!
Gotta do what we gotta do!!! :)John Vaughnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17628857931081967009noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7001874779832700509.post-28709748101726643632011-01-13T23:57:19.274-05:002011-01-13T23:57:19.274-05:00Ugh.
