Lots of sprains and broke the ...Tons of ankle jobs. Lots of sprains and broke the ankle once but mostly these injuries were done playing cut sports (hockey, squash). I overpronate badly so the way my foot is turned leaves me open to ankle trouble. All you can do is tape it and rest it. There really isn't much you can do besides ice. I would do some ankle rolls and stretches to get them loose. Hope your pain goes away. All I would suggest...Sorry to hear about the ankle. All I would suggest would be carefully stretching it and maybe icing it. Aside from the possible injury, it probably did you good to rest a couple of days before the race (unless you were training thru it). Good luck!
