Wow, pretty soon you'll have your whole family running! ;-)

Good luck on your 5K, & also to you & your two children on your next fun run together!

Some of my best memories are running as a kid with my dad, & you'll no doubt have many opportunities to make many good memories of your own together!Cyberpenguinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01967978202211470194noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7001874779832700509.post-55360507358567008262009-01-19T11:12:00.000-05:002009-01-19T11:12:00.000-05:00Yup, it is just getting him out to that first one....Yup, it is just getting him out to that first one. :)

I know he reads my other blog, I wonder if he reads this one and if he is reading this?

If you are Mark, I dare you to post and make yourself known!Tim Wilsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09172993341866649612noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7001874779832700509.post-52363883459346797022009-01-19T01:41:00.000-05:002009-01-19T01:41:00.000-05:00Get your friend to do a 5K with you. I have sometimes put my training in front of running with the kids, but I enjoy the time with them much more than the benefit I get from sticking to my training. Plus it gives them a lot of good exposure to healthy habits.

When it gets warmer you will really love getting out there with him!

I have always been up to running with others, just not had the opportunity. I have one other in my neighborhood that is possible, however he is so far ahead of me (two marathons down already) that it would be hard to keep up with him. I have crossed paths a lot with him while training though.

Thanks for stopping by!Tim Wilsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09172993341866649612noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7001874779832700509.post-35705655810829064072009-01-18T21:08:00.000-05:002009-01-18T21:08:00.000-05:00My 6 year old son has been showing some interest i...My 6 year old son has been showing some interest in running with me - but I'm going to wait until the weather is a bit nicer :-)

I have also contemplated finding a running partner (or partners) over the past few weeks when I realized that I ran 99% of my miles solo last year.Mike Foxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09894036682226358146noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7001874779832700509.post-12030888566318496542009-01-18T20:15:00.000-05:002009-01-18T20:15:00.000-05:00Thanks :) I have a daughter and a son that both li...Thanks :) I have a daughter and a son that both likes running with me. It's so nice that your son likes running with you, & also to have a friend that can run with you on such short notice!

You basically did a 5K today. Bet you must feel great to be getting stronger & building your mileage.

Who knows, you might be running a 5K with both your son AND your friend. Never say never, right? ;-)Cyberpenguinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01967978202211470194noreply@blogger.com
