I'm in the Windy City this week, completed a 7miler yesterday and a 5 the day before with prob 10 mile/day walking around the city. tomorrow at 6am I have an organized 5K then plan to add about 5 more miles along Lake Michigan. Oddly it's nice to have my legs in a persistent state of "sore" again before the ING Georgia Half later this month...aaronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03020284859211852561noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7001874779832700509.post-35969672990128591402008-03-11T16:41:00.000-04:002008-03-11T16:41:00.000-04:00Hi Tim,You're doing really well, we all go through...Hi Tim,

You're doing really well, we all go through the ups and downs and most frustrating of all a plateau....

Give your body a chance to catch up from the Half High....you know, life is fun if you don't weaken, my motto. Take it or leave it, it's up to you. I find that when I blog I only blog about positive things. I blog not for everybody else but for myself, so I find myself going back to my blog to see pics of my daughter, race reports etc... and it there are things that are negative it can impact my mood, training etc.

That being said, what you are going through happens to all runners. My first run of 3 miles after my first 1/2 was horrible, so I forgot about it and moved onto the next run, and yesterday I knocked sown 9 miles at 15 seconds faster than my ING ATL 1/2 pace.

Sports is like the economy, the descisions you make during a recession (rest, diet, activity) will prepare you for the boom (the race).

Hope this helps, keep your chin up. I have faith ;)

RAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09750061934013903711noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7001874779832700509.post-73690013727299043402008-03-10T07:42:00.000-04:002008-03-10T07:42:00.000-04:00I think you're feeling typical stuff getting back ...I think you're feeling typical stuff getting back into the groove. I felt much the same after taking the week off two weeks ago. It'll steadily improve.Rickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04034531091253691652noreply@blogger.com
