Will women ever outrun men?

This is something that may bring out a whirlwind of feelings and aggravation. However, what is your thoughts? Will women ever outrun men?

I know my thoughts:

I have seen many women pass me.... and never look back :)

For decades, running enthusiasts have speculated that women were better suited for distance running than men because of their higher body-fat ratios — hence a greater emergency fuel store. 2. Very interesting topic. The gap is closing some. We'll have to just wait & see on this one! I'm not ready to commit to an answer either way. I'd love to hope that it's possible. ;-)

  4. Since I am a woman, and I know what I can do, it's unlikely that I will ever outrun a man. The article says you must compare body weights at the elite level and therefore men will be faster.
Why do we have to compare to men? Why can't the women just run fast and be compared to other women?

Can't recall the name, but isn't there a woman who runs Ultras that is faster than a LOT of the men?
