One thing that I do know for sure is that without this blog and it's dedicated readers I would never have accomplished what I have in running over these past three years. Maybe it was the congrats for that first half marathon in early 2008, or encouragement and well wishes while getting through the healing and time off from the broken collar bone experienced just a few months later in a 5k race. I know the training for and crossing the finish line of my first marathon in 2009 wouldn't have been possible without the constant comments, feedback, and encouragement from all of you, and the same holds true for my second marathon in 2010. All that I learned from all of you during this time could never be replaced and won't be forgotten.
This year was another step forward in my life as a runner. In 2008 I ran 473 miles at an average pace of 9:26. In 2009 I more than doubled my mileage to 1,128 miles with an average pace of 9:07. This past year I topped that just slightly when I hit 1,332 miles with an average pace of 8:50. I wish I could say that my progress was much better than this, but considering all the injuries and setbacks, not to mention life itself, I am very pleased to be moving up in mileage and down in pace..... even if it is not as far or fast as I would hope for.
Thank you everyone for reading and commenting when you get a chance. I really love the comments and look forward to each and every one of them, but I do understand that many people just like to read (that is what I do on a lot of blogs as well so I cannot criticize you).
Thank you everyone that has been with me from the beginning. I don't know who you are but I appreciate you more than you know. For those of you that have started reading along the way or just recently started stopping by I want to thank you as well. A blog is a community and I am glad you are part of mine.
Since I don't have a side bar linking other blogs (I used to but when some stopped updating it became too much to constantly keep clean) why not leave a comment and let everyone know where you are from (your blog, twitter, dailymile, etc) I would love to know who is reading even if you don't always comment.
If you are here for the first time, why not take a moment to subscribe via one of the links below.
Don't forget to stop by the Facebook Fanpage and comment away, today is the last chance for you to win Meb Keflezighi's Run to Overcome book.
Happy New Year Everyone!
Keep up the good work Tim. I've enjoyed reading your blog since I found it after I started bloggingin September.

Very nice year! Keep it up in 2011. While I'm not a subscriber, I have you on my blogroll and my google reader (and am a "fan" on Facebook and Daily Mile friend).

Thanks everyone for reading and commenting. I was pretty sure I had 5 readers so I am assuming the other two are still on vacation :)
