Now That's What I'm Talking About!

After the weather last week I thought we were in it for the winter.  The weather was horrible, and unseasonably cold for Georgia, which meant some interesting running took place.  Now this week is much more like it with the 50+ degree temperatures and sunny skies leaving way for some nice sunny runs dressed like I prefer - shorts and a t-shirt.

Yesterday I came home from work and my daughter Payton was waiting for me.  Five minutes later we were out the door in the 49 degree temperatures  for a nice quick 4 mile run before we came home, showered, and hit the road to go see a movie.

Today was another gorgeous day with a temperature of 54 degrees, sunny skies, and just enough wind just to keep us conscious that IT IS winter time. Tonight I did 4.1 miles to try and honor a birthday I will be having soon.  The run went great and the only slight issue with the run was the gusting 25mph winds that made it just a touch cool.

Both of these two runs really are a nice change from the 28, 15, and 29 degree weather runs I had just last week.  This week is more like the Georgia weather I have grown to love.

If you haven't stopped by yet, make sure you check out my last post.  I am giving away Meb Keflezighi's Run to Overcome book and it is really easy to enter!  Also, if you have some long runs coming up and are in need of an Anti-Chafing solution make sure you check out the 40% off coupon for Everstride before it expires at the end of the year.

Just incase we don't talk before then.... Have a Very Merry Christmas!
